ABOUT THE JOURNAL

Practical Applications (PA) is a companion journal to the eleven PMR publications. It is published online on a weekly basis and is bundled in print form quarterly with the JPM. PA describes and discusses original articles from the journals, with a goal of highlighting actionable items that might not be easily extracted from the more technical articles. The PA reports dissect scholarly research and empirical insights, allowing readers to access the current thought leadership in investment strategies and enabling them to target the PMR articles they would like to explore further.

Practical Applications offers the key points made in original articles from PMR in a clear and easily digestible format. By gaining access to the central concepts through PA, readers will be able to navigate towards the original articles that best meet their needs and interests.

HISTORY

Practical Applications was launched in 2013 as a complementary publication, providing summaries of articles published in The Journal of Portfolio Management and other journals from PMR. This publication was launched based on customer feedback.
